Poem of the Week

Shifter

Pain caused daily,
My heart belongs to you,
I couldn’t love you more,
Forgetting what you do.

In the depraved depths,
You slide through the shadows,
Hints of glints of weapons,
The making of many widows.

Murderer you are by heart,
Shifter you are by trade,
By blood you are my daughter,
You I will never betray.

This was a three word prompt given to me by Emma Jane Marie from the Facebook group Writers' Soapbox. The three words were love, Pain and Shifter.

Poem of the Week - Last Week

Serendipity

Warmth overcomes me,
As I leave the filth behind me,
Wallowing didn’t help me.
Meeting you was serendipity.

This was a three word prompt given to me by Fa Ri from the Facebook group Writers' Soapbox. The three words were serendipity, filth and warmth.

Poem of the Week - 2 Weeks Ago

Flick

With a flick of your tail,
A nod of your head,
I know it is time,
To climb up to bed.

With a sniff and a lick,
A wink of your eye,
The time has come,
To say goodbye.

Goodbye old friend,
Tired and sore,
As your eyes close,
You'll have pain no more.
